ABOUT ME
My name is Lauren, the founder and lead operator of Fine Print Grants. Through the proposals I have co-written or solo'ed, I have helped draw in or manage $5.2 to tribally-affiliated organizations and non-profits in Montana. I served as Project Director for a federal CDC grant at Fort Peck Community College (on the homelands of the Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes) for four years, where I learned the intricacies and complexities of federal grant writing, reporting, and management, and where I began my consulting journey.

"How in the hell did I get to Montana all the way from New York?!"
(...Because everyone asks.)
Born and raised about 30 minutes from New York City, I moved to Montana in 2016, knowing no one and never having visited, to serve two year-long terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. Over the past eight years, I have lived in Western, Eastern, and now Southwest Montana; I have visited the many nooks and crannies of this state via highways, gravel, tire-track roads, hiking trails, bike paths, and my all-time favorite, an 8-seater plane. The landscape has inspired me to take up photography, which you'll see randomly throughout the site. I love the interconnectedness of everything in this hugely tiny state -- the people, communities, collaborative professional fields -- even the recreational sports leagues (never thought I'd pick up women's ice hockey in my 30's!). My fascination with this interconnectedness is probably what has kept me here for 8 years and counting.
Today
In late 2022, I started my own business to apply myself to a broader range of projects and organizations, jumping off the networks I have found throughout my time in Montana, especially on the Fort Peck Reservation. I now offer grant research services, proposal writing, and single- or multi-project management; and I'm always seeking professional development to expand my services.

I feel that my potential for impact is through helping organizations build capacity through secured funding. I will find grants that match your missions, help your team strategize for potential funding opportunities, and then craft a compelling narrative to draw in funding for your programs.

With a keen eye for detail, I'll handle the intricacies of whatever part of the grant writing or management process you need -- deadlines and all!

Let me handle the "fine print" details, so you can focus on where your programs need you!
Please contact me to schedule a 15- to 30-minute consultation. I'd love to discuss your goals and brainstorm how I can help.
